Sperm Hunter

August 25, 2010

This morning on the way to work, I heard someone on the news talking about this story. The headline is:

“Meet the 25-year-old ‘sperm hunter’: I’m so desperate for a baby I grab strangers for sex on nights when I am most fertile”

Basically, this 25-year-old preys on unsuspecting men at bars and clubs. She waits until her most fertile time of the month, then goes to the club, pretends to be drunk and throws herself at men. If they want to use a condom, she gives them one of hers – which she conveniently poked a hole in. She is desperate to get pregnant, and won’t let anything stop her. Oh, and sperm banks? Too expensive. Much easier to trick men into knocking her up.

And, welcome to Crazytown. How is a normal girl supposed to convince guys she isn’t absolutely bat-shit crazy when girls like this exist? Do you think this girl is an anomoly, or are there more girls like this than one would imagine?

This story is a good reminder: I can be crazy sometimes, but at least I’m not Sperm Hunter crazy. What a relief.

I’m so proud of you! Its apparent that whatever sperm that was used to produce her has something wrong with it. I saw a story yesterday about a woman who wants to get married so she can have health insurance. Maybe its the same person!

    • August 25, 2010 11:09 am

Haha, perhaps! Crazy peeps out there – watch out ladies and gentlemen! Dating can be dangerous. 🙂

  2. August 25, 2010 11:08 am

wow…. craaaazy… women are just out of it. more women are starting families on their own, and i applaud that! but this… this is a step to far… cheers to you and i for not being absolutely bat-shit-crazy!

    • August 25, 2010 11:45 am

I applaud women starting families on their own as well, just as long as they do it an honest manner!

Definitely, cheers to you and me! Only trouble is, with stories like this, guys think we are all crazy. Guess we gotta just prove them wrong…

  3. August 25, 2010 11:09 am

Holy smokes! I should introduce her to my ex. He can knock her up and then marry her! haha

It is women like this that give us a bad name and it’s guys like my ex who give men a bad rep. Oy.

I hope that the mass population knows that the majority of us, men and women, are not bat shit crazy (however not without our issues) and that we can have “normal” relationships without deception playing the starring role.

    • August 25, 2010 11:59 am

LOL about your ex. Sounds like you dodged a bullet there. 🙂

I like what you said… “we can have ‘normal’ relationships without deception playing the starring role.” You are right, everyone has their own issues, but the important thing is to be honest in our relationships. And I think you are right, the majority of the population is not bat shit crazy. But stories like this make me wonder… haha!

      Thanks for your comment.

That is just insane. I was going to say I can’t believe a woman would do that but sadly I can. I worry about the poor kid (if she gets one). Doesn’t sound like a good environment for a child to be raised in and you are right that this type of behaviour doesn’t help us single women at all.

    • August 25, 2010 12:03 pm

I agree, I can totally see a woman doing this. I can actually see some women I know doing this! Scary (and sad).

You make a good point – that kid is probably going to be just as crazy as she is. Hopefully not, though.

Sure hope she doesn’t find out that she’s pregnant and has contracted HIV at the same time! That might cast a shadow on her ‘I’m having a baby’ happiness!

    • August 25, 2010 12:04 pm

Haha, agreed. But, in the article, she mentions that she always asks guys first if they have an STD, and if they say yes, she doesn’t have sex with them. She says that she can trust her instincts. Of course a guy would be honest and tell her if he has an STD (yeah right)!! I think it’s funny that she thinks a guy will be honest with her about his STDs when she isn’t even honest with him about her sperm hunting intentions!

I do feel sorry for women today. I never had children and to think someone would treat this like some game is stupid to say the least. You ladies hang in there. I know its tough.

That is assuming that guys aren’t crazy!

    • August 25, 2010 12:07 pm

Yeah, and that’s a big assumption – there are some crazy guys out there too! I think the lesson learned is to watch out who you trust. Some people do play games and act crazy – you just gotta be careful out there.

As far as birth control? The lesson learned should be to bring your own birth control. I bet this story would make guys think twice about using a condom that a girl happened to have in her purse…

Don, just because of this comment, it is now my goal to find an equally crazy guy story to post sometime soon. I think crazy knows no gender! 🙂

This is a women who will one day end up on the Maury show testing 25-30 guys looking for her baby daddy.

    • August 25, 2010 2:52 pm

Haha, you are right. That’d be a good episode though, can’t lie!

  11. August 25, 2010 1:02 pm

Wow.. that is crazy!!! There are many like her which is why Maury has a baby daddy show every other day.

  12. August 25, 2010 2:01 pm

Holy Biological Clock, Batman! Who wants a baby so badly at the age of 25 that she’s willing to risk her life? NUTSO! And doesn’t she dcare about her future child enough to want to know a bit about the child’s father? Obviously not.

    • August 25, 2010 2:51 pm

Haha, agreed! I’m not sure what makes her clock tick so fast, but my clock isn’t anywhere close to that desperate (not yet anyway!) and I’m 25 too!

Good point, probably would be better to find out if the child’s father has a crazy genetic disorder or is schizophrenic before choosing them as a baby daddy.

My coworker made a good point too – if she doesn’t have money for the sperm bank, how is she going to have money to take care of a kid?

Guess some people just don’t think some things through.

      • August 25, 2010 4:16 pm

I’m 35 and even though I hear faint ticking, it’s not ticking that bad. Besides, as my single friends (ranging in ages 35-43) always say: there’s adoption. There are plenty of children out there that need a home. I was one of them at one time 🙂

        • August 25, 2010 4:33 pm

You are right about that! There are always other options, and seriously, almost any option would be a better than forcing unsuspecting men to impregnate you!

I think that there are lots of non-crazy men and lots of non-crazy women out there – it’s just that the crazy ones make the most noise and get the most press coverage! I would never go down the road of saying “all women are screwed up” – I think that our expectations of the world can help to shape our future experience of it, so I’ll choose to keep faith in lots of great women being out there – including my fellow bloggers of course!

    • August 25, 2010 10:51 pm

Aww thanks on the end of your comment. But know that I can be pretty crazy. Just not as crazy as Sperm Hunter up here. Haha jk 🙂

Agreed, and happy you don’t go to the “all women are screwed up” place. Usually guys tell me that every woman they’ve been with is crazy. My question there is what is the common denominator? YOU! What’s more likely, every woman you’ve been with is crazy or that you are crazy?

This post reminds me of Proverbs Chapter 7, think about these words:

1 ¶ My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands and live, And my law as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” And call understanding your nearest kin,
5 That they may keep you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words.
6 ¶ For at the window of my house I looked through my lattice,
7 And saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, A young man devoid of understanding,
8 Passing along the street near her corner; And he took the path to her house
9 In the twilight, in the evening, In the black and dark night.
10 And there a woman met him, With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.
11 She was loud and rebellious, Her feet would not stay at home.
12 At times she was outside, at times in the open square, Lurking at every corner.
13 So she caught him and kissed him; With an impudent face she said to him:
14 “I have peace offerings with me; Today I have paid my vows.
15 So I came out to meet you, Diligently to seek your face, And I have found you.
16 I have spread my bed with tapestry, Colored coverings of Egyptian linen.
17 I have perfumed my bed With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Come, let us take our fill of love until morning; Let us delight ourselves with love.
    19 For my husband is not at home; He has gone on a long journey;
20 He has taken a bag of money with him, And will come home on the appointed day.”
21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.
22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,
23 Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it would cost his life.
24 ¶ Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth:
    25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths;
26 For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men.
27 Her house is the way to hell, Descending to the chambers of death.

I enjoy being a bit crazy, actually, I think I’m more goofy than crazy. Luckily I all ready have my equally crazy husband but have a few friends out there dating that remind me when he’s driving me even more nuts how lucky I am to have him.
    Good luck to you.
The poor future child of that crazy 25 year old woman. I just wonder if she’s also the type to go for child support after tricking a man into it. I hope not. Thats just wrong.

    • August 26, 2010 12:45 pm

You are right about that – she definitely does not deserve child support with this type of behavior. But wait, the liberal in me thinks the child needs child support. And the feminist in me thinks, well the man knew pregnancy was a possibility when he had sex, so maybe he should pay child support… darn, I don’t know what I think. 🙂

I also enjoy being crazy. While you say you are more goofy than crazy, I’m probably more quirky than crazy. I hope. Haha.

      Thanks for reading and commenting!

People do some crazy and sad things to be “happy” and usually when they get what they wanted, they still aren’t happy because there is the next thing on the list they want.

I think if she put an ad in the paper and paid for a doctor visit, she could find a healthy and willing donor if there was a legal contract involved where he had no responsibility.

    Crazy people don’t think straight.

    • September 9, 2010 10:27 am

You are correct. There is no logic when talking with a crazy person. If this girl were even sane enough to know how crazy she was, she would realize that if she doesn’t have the money to do this in an ethical manner, then she doesn’t have the money to have a child. Alas, she is crazy, so she wouldn’t be capable of coming to such a conclusion.

  21. August 17, 2011 3:40 am

omg effin’ incredible…that is one of the most shallow and disturbingly selfish things I have ever heard… that girl is twisted in a special way that only Lucifer understands… i can just see the poor guy right now being served child support papers until the child is 18 all over a night’s romp with a chance sexual encounter with a desparate and wanton woman….

dammit…where did all of the level headed wonderful girls go????

      The T,
Yeah, it’s amazing the kind of craziness and evil people are capable of. A little scary, actually. I’m afraid to run into someone like this myself. But, I wonder if a guy really got to know her, I bet her crazy would show. Just gotta take time before sex – or you may end up just as you say!

Don’t judge her. Sperm Banks are really expensive. So what is a single women suppose to do. Wait around for some man to find her worthy of making her his wife. I looked this up because I am strongly considering. I am a 29 year old virgin. I was waiting until I was married. I was trying to to the right thing mister snobby proverb writer. But tell me did you stay virgin. God does not see me. He has not blessed me and I am approaching 30 with no man in site that can even be a small light that I will have the family I desire. No cloud in the sky with the promise of rain. What I am suppose to do? If you wait to long to have a child the possibility decreases. I am sorry but I am completely willing at this point to throw away 29 years of virtue because no one values it. No one. I want a child. I tried to be good. I wanted to build a nest. But no one loves me and I have no hope anyone ever will.

      Nikki,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a tough time finding someone, but I do believe that there is someone (probably multiple people) out there for everyone. But tricking a guy to get you pregnant is never OK. No matter what the circumstances. It’s just not honest. And if the situation were reversed, you wouldn’t want someone to trick YOU to get YOU pregnant. Best of luck to you — have you tried onloine dating? That may help! Just keep the hope up. You will find someone.
